Topics for Class Debates

This post is so you can add possible topics for class debates. Remember that they shoud be things which you can talk about, topics you more or less know something about. And they should be topics where we can divide the class and have some in favour and some against or just different points of view.

    Racism is a good point to debate about, the problem comes when you notice that Aspas, Davínia, Josep and I have similar opinions about it so it would be a boring debate, unless you force everybody to speak...
    Josep suggested to bring his fans and mine face to face, but as I don't want him to be deppressed I'd rather propose another idea. I will think about it!

    I think that is not necessary divide the class because all the people of the class know that Mònica loves comercial music...and in my birthday when we stayed in the pub she sang all the songs!!
    Racism is a good topic but is a bit difficult to express our opinions in English...

    I agree with A.aspas, we can't express our opinions about racism in English..and I agree with A. aspas too.. when she said tath is not necessary divide the class, everybody can express their opinions and debated.. I don't like talking about gossip TV programmes, but I like listening Josep talking about it...xD

    Oh, so was I the only one person dancing them? I'd swear I can perfectly remember you, Aspas Andrea, dancing with Paula's boyfriend... And I DID NOT sing the songs because I didn't know their lyrics. I just sang "La ventanita del amor" and what's more I didn't sing he original, but our version "La finestreta del Congrés". I think we should upload it to Youtube...

    Ok then, we'll do a general exchange of opinions without splitting up the class in two different sides. And when we finish I'll play some Oreja de Van Gogh's greatest hits so that Monica can dance and sing along...

    But I'm terrible at dancing! I can only do it in concerts or if doing it increases my P.E. qualification in two points (like Pepe's batuka did).

    I've got an idea! Why don't we debate about if marijuana should be legal? People could choose their own stand, and I know there would be diferent positions in the class...

    I think that we would can speak about political parties, and split the class according to their way of thinking. One more thing, can I do my composition in my computer and send it to you by e-mail? Because I can´t write with my right hand.
