ReplyDeleteIn my town there aren’t falles because it is a small town and people never said anything about them
Although some people when I was little built a falla but it wasn’t the same as the television but cardboard. It was made by children and small. They were not much only this day.
Now we haven’t got anything and we are going to the fallas of Valencia or the town around.
Definitely in my town there aren’t fallas but we do the party.

As far as I am concerned, I prefer Falles (and I say "Falles" because it's a Valencian traditional holiday instead of a Castillian one) than local festivities because my village's festivities are very religious: their main acts are processions, masses... and I'm an atheist. During Falles there are also some religious acts (like the "Ofrena"), but most things aren't related to Christianism, like the "mascletaes", the "despertaes"... What's more I love the little poems which are in the falles, and some monuments critizise society and as you know I usually like critizing things.
ReplyDeleteDuring my town local festivities, we (I mean, Harry, Ron, Hermione and I) stay in my house playing Magical Chess because we don't like going to masses. Sometimes we go to my family fields and there we play Quidditch - although Hermione usually says she's bored and she goes with my sister to the river, but we know it's just because she can't stand on the broomstick as well as I do. At nights, there are usually commercial music bands playing commercial music songs to commercial people, so then we travel with our broomstiks to an empty field and there I play the dolçaina in order to cheer them, and we dance and drink butterbeer until we're tired.
I used to enjoy Falles a lot when I played in a music band, because I went to a Falla with them and there we played during the morning at by midday I was already at home, so I could go out and do homework during the afternoons. Playing in the falla was very fun because I was with some young people in my band. Now I'm neither a member of the band nor a member of a falla, so while people is playing their instruments or wearing their fallera clothes and throwing firecrackers I'll be in Barcelona with my uncles and my freak Catalan friends :D
I wouldn't change anything in Falles because it's a traditional holiday and it doesn't hurt anybody. And if European Union bans firecrackers and they don't ban bull fights, I think I'll have to burn somebody at the stake.

As Lydia said,here in Antella there's no 'falles'.I like Falles but only because we have a few days for relaxing.In my opinion they contaminate too much the environment and I think that is a stupid idea to burn the monuments after they have cost thousand of €,while there's people who can't eat anything..

The Falles and the locals parties are the best day of the year because in these days a lot of people have desire of party and they try to forget the exams and the subjects.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is that I prefer two things because in local festivities how the parti is in your village then you spend in your yourself wery well and in falles also.
I celebrate it since it has to be celebrated, we We buy drink and in the night we do large bottle and afterwards we go to the party.
I don´t belong a falla but I am not an absentee of right but I am a very important absentee. jeje.
I don´t change nothing because is fantastic and incredible. Fallas to have that to be all the year round it is what change.

ReplyDeleteI prefer local festivities than fallas because I like the religious festivities, I like walk in silence during 2-3 hours with a candle, stayed in the church singing the "padre nuestro" aproximately 25 times in an hour jaja, is a joke, the religion isn´t my favourite hobby jaja. I prefer local festivities because the true fallas are in the big citis, and my village isn´t one of this.
And if I try to go to Valencia, it´s almost impossible. "Valencia en Fallas" is very opressive and the music is the same all the time. Only I like the petards, here, normally the young people acostummed to practice a tradition which consists in a group of people buy a type of petards called "cuets borratxos", and they try to burn the other. But now it´s censured. For my all the partys are the same, all the people are dancing normally with his music, and I´m drinking with my friends and with my music.

ReplyDeleteWhen are falles I go with my friends a Valencia because in my town there aren't falles since some years. In Valencia we go to see the “mascletaes” and “falles”.
The local festivities are in the summer and are most fun because you know the all people and you don’t stop to make dinner with yours friends and you spend all night dancing until time for breakfast.
I enjoy both but I prefer local festivals !

In my village,Càcer, there is a falla "el corralot" but it is small and there is no party, so my friends and I are going to Valencia and see les falles. We also see la mascletà. It's a little stressful but is well ..=)

In Valencia, there is a good atmosphere and many foreigners.
Finally, les falles are days of fun.
On the other hand, local festivities in my town, the people have fun with friends. Dinner was with friends and then the drinking and dancing all night until the day is done and we baked..xD

First, I have to say that I'm agree with Davi about "falles". Tey spend a lot of money uselessly, if later, they're going to burn it. I think it's really stupid!
ReplyDeleteNext Tuesday 17, Alba, Andrea, Rebeca, Cris and I, we'll go to Valencia for stay 3 or 4 days in Andrea's flat. Valencia in "fallas" is fantastic because of the pepople, who are always in the street seeing diferent "fallas". But what I more hate is to see Rita singing: << Va-len-cia en fallas....>> it is awful, and more when she jumps on the council's balcony, with her red dress, it seems she's going to jump over the balcony, but all the people cheer her to do it!! lol
Well, I think that we'll enjoy these days, we always do it.

in the LOCAL FESTIVAL in sumacarcer are very OK. because the PATO DANIEL;NOMADA.. go to sumacarcer .. LA FALLA is el monument.. and I be disagree in religious acts becaus I sleept in this acts.. I prefer discos; dance; music... and in FALLES are much people.. (encara que) this year I go to the FALLES in valencia because I am musician.. NEVER ! I never changued festival for falles! FALLES are the most popular but.. I prefer festivals.

ReplyDeleteIn my village haven't got falles because is very small...only in the school make a small falla for the children and the mothers prepare "bunyols" and chocolate.
I'm agree with Davi...I think that is not necessary spent so much money.
This year I will go to Valencia with my friends because they study in Valencia and have got a flatmate.
I love to go and listen the mascleta and when I go, I try to stay far of the council's balcony because Rita is accustomed to jump in it and I am afraid that it falls down...xD
I like falles too because sometimes I go to play dolçaina and this year I go to Valencia and play in a Correfoc ( runfire? lol) the 19th of March.
I prefer my local festivities because are very funny.
Every day we make different things on day dinner in the street, an other paelles, an other we dress,...
The people dance until the next morning and then all people go to have breakfast in " el forn, la vall".
This festivities are very religious but I never go to the processions...I only go to the processions of Sant Rorro. Sant rorro is the drunks' saint . Every year my friends and I make a doll which criticize something and all the people this day drink a lot of alcohol and make a procession at high hours of the dawn and paula's boyfriend and I accompany the procession playing the dolçaina.

ReplyDeleteCàrcer has the Falla El Corralot but it’s very small so we when out of the town.
As Paula said we’ll go to my flat to pass the “Fallas”. We go since three or four years more or less. First we went with my parents and now we go alone, except my sister but she go with her friends.
We walk all day so when we arrive to the flat to dinner we are tire.
Sometimes we meet with my friends of the old school.
The ”Fallas” are good but I prefer local festivities especially when we’ll be who prepare the local festivities XDXD,

ReplyDeleteI'm here again, well I am going to speak about local festivities, because FALLES in Carcer are very boring.There is only a FALLA," el corralot",but is very small and very few falleros.
Local festivities are very funny,because they are organised by young people.Last year my sister Ana was festera and all was fabulous.
A lot of orchersts came to Carcer."montecarlo,vertigo..." are some of these.
The local festivities are patronals and also it's necessary go to "misa" but nobody go there, only the "festeros".
so,the local festivities of Carcer are exellent!
