First assignment
For those of you who don't get here first... Write a comment talking about where, when and how do you use English in your life, either as speaker or listener/viewer. Just three or four lines will do. Remember to sign your post with your name.
My name is Antonio, I'm from Alacant and I'm studying Translation & Interpretings. English is my C language (second foreign language) and I use it mostly to read TIME, a weekly magazine I subscribed to one month ago.

My name is Mònica, I'm from Antella and I hate Antonio :) He used to be my best friend but now I don't know if I will speak to him never again. At least I won't if he keeps posting where he's definitively NOT supposed to post, even if I've sent him this link because he wants to improve his English. Anyway I was trying to write about when, where and how do I use English in my life. Well, I don't often neither listen nor read in English dayly because I haven't got much free time, but I'm currently reading Bridget Jones' Diary in this language because my private teacher (L) lent me it. I also read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows in English when it came out, but I found it very difficult. As a speaker, I used to do a conversation class once a week with my private English teacher but now she's not able to do it and so I'm not speaking English out of school. However,I usually chat by msn with my friend Lenny, who is Swedish, and we do some fun things in English like a comic about Tirant lo Blanc (http://img264.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cmicqi8.jpg). Oh, now I'm starting to think this post has been too long. Nevertheless we both knew that the sentence "Just three or four lines will do" is not made for me...
Hello! Our names are Paula and Davi, we are 17 and we're from Carcer and Aantella. so we have decided to write here and try to improve our English, because "it'll all get better in time" (like the song says)xD. We don't have much experience but we would like to have more and we hope go to Ireland.What's more....we know we are going...xD For us it would be a funy experience because we would meet with some new people and we'd know this country. We love english music so we're listening it all the time, sometimes the same songs and we are learning a lot of vocabulary, thanks to this. We practice this language when we're in english class and we keep a little conversations in English on the msn xD. We used to listen this language on te TV in some channels, documentaries, music programmes..when we have free time, like Monica. We read some english books in holidays and when the teacher gives us required books during the year. Finally, we think that nowdays young people don't mind this language and there is a percentatge of them who ignore it and what's wrong, don't do anything to learn it.Well, we hope these situation changes.
We have written together because we had a bit embarrassed to do it alone.We hope you don't mind. We have done some mistakes, but we are not perfects....yet.xD We'll write again...some day...
xD, Okay! I'm really embarrassed, and I can't believe I'm gonna do this but oh well.. First of all. I learnt English thanks to my mate Danni and all her family.. Yes, that girl that I told you she was English but you didn't believe me.. So, Yeah. She used to be like my bestest friend. So I was always with her, and when I went to her house for the first time, her dad told me: When you're in this house, you're in England, so you can ONLY speak English. Because it is not fair that you're in my house and I don't even know what you're saying... And at first, I didn't use to speak, but I'm that kind of person that NEEDS to talk :) So I just payed attenttion.. And with their help (because they talked to me like I wasn't a normal person), and with my mate's friend that translated every thing I didn't understand, I learnt English :D But now, I don't use english very much. Only on MSN, when I talk to her sisters or some english friends I've got.
I only read english books when Maicòl says that we have to. Because reading really bores me :)
But, I do listen to English music. Because I think it is amazing. Apart from those bands that instead of singing, scream! (FUCKING SCARY!!) Plain White T's are well good! And so are Simple Plan, Green Day, Chris Brown, Rihanna, One Republic or The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Well, I think is time for me to go! I'll write some day.. When I'm so bored that I don't even know what to do! :)
I don´t know how my friends can write so much. I was only happening hereabouts and say that yesterday I broken my arm, but I wait to recover soon. A greeting ang good bye.
Sorry to hear about your arm Borja... At least it does not affect your surfing the internet or writing. I hope you have a quick recovery and thankx for your comment...
Hello, I´m Josep, I´m from Carcer. I don´t know the reason to post, because I only go to high school to annoy Monica jaja. Yesterday it was the Aspas(Andrea)´s birthday...and now all of the girls of the class have headache (specially Monica). You know..if Aspas organize the party, the final of this is very easy to predict. I´ll try to write again.
Dear Nino, I DO NOT HAVE a headache. I can perfectly control what I drink - although I'm sorry because everybody can't say the same. I just mean that Andrea Aspas' toilet still remembers you - and her mother, who's probably trying to clean it, too. Mònica.
